QSS-2000 Soldering Iron Communication System
Intensive temperature control and communication system.
(Also for lead-free soldering)
  • All soldering iron settings (temperature, PID control value, alarm) can be set using a personal computer.
  • Soldering iron temperature is managed and recorded automatically on the personal computer.
  • ISO9000 and QS9000 obligates to record the temperature condition of soldering workmanship.
  • It communicates at a maximum speed of 19.2 Kbps using the RS-485 multi-drop connection between soldering iron and personal computer.
  • It collects the temperature of the soldering iron in 1 sec ~ 24 hour intervals and it writes it in the hard disk one after another in .csv (comma-separated values) format.
  • When the temperature of the soldering iron goes beyond the setting range (upper and lower limits), it emits and alarm with the personal computer and it records the extraordinary condition.

  • Soldering irons are connected to a personal computer through the communication line, which collects and saves the temperature data.
  • Collected temperature data can be monitored on PC display.
  • A maximum of 30 soldering irons can be controlled by one PC.
  • The PC issues an alarm to warn a work supervisor when iron temperatures reach abnormal ranges.
  • Saved temperature data can be compiled, indicated in graph and printed using MS Excel and compatible programs.

  • Control method is PID. It has temperature compensation function and various parameter functions.
  • In addition to the digital display, it also has an LCD display.  With the digital display, it is difficult to read temperature during actual soldering because the indicated value changes instantly.  The M16 LCD displays the iron tip temperature every 0.2 seconds in a graph.  Therefore, temperature history for soldering can be understood at a glance.

  • Measurement of temperature, leak voltage, and earth line resistance can be all measured by only one unit.
  • Control of soldering iron according to ISO9000, QS9000, and MIL standard is possible.

For measurement of temperature 
  • Temperature retrieval from iron tip by new sensor unit SAT-1 is quite small, and it can precisely measure temperature of very small iron tip used for precision soldering.

NLA Soldering Iron & Ceramic Heater Irons
 

SS-Series Exclusive Variable Control
NLA soldering iron with ceramic heater.  Built-in thermal adjuster within grip.
  • Noise influence is almost none, because zero-volt switching circuit is used as control circuit.
  • Temperature control range is ± 4°C.
  • Insulating resistance is 500 M ohms at 400 °C (for 150 hrs.).
  • Heat rise is fast due to high watt density, and it is very suitable for soldering which needs large heat supply like part removal or IC soldering.
  • Temperature control situation can be known by looking at neon light ON/OFF.
  • SS-5000FP uses ceramic heater which have 2 times greater power than SS-1005A, and therefore it is very suitable for soldering which needs more heat supply.
  • Types for power source of 100V, 110V, and 220V are available.

 

SR-Series
NLA soldering iron with ceramic heater.
  • Iron tip and heater can be changed easily, depending on needed energy for parts to be soldered.
  • It will become ceramic iron with simple thermal adjustment function, if optional CRC-150 is added.

CRC-150

  • Temperature adjustment is made by 10-scale knob.  Please find out iron tip temperature at each scale by using our digital thermometer MCA-900.
  • It can be used after removing earth pin, because the pin is screw in type.
